Infill: how solid inside
Light 15% Phone stands, desk organisers, display parts, figurines and props.
Standard 25% Most everyday parts. Brackets, clips, covers and enclosures.
Strong 50% Parts that carry load or get bolted down. Mounts, hinges, tool holders.
Solid 100% Rarely needed. Small high stress parts like spacers, bushes and small gears.
Most of a part's strength comes from its outer walls, not the infill. A phone stand is plenty strong at 15%. Going up to 50% mostly adds plastic, print time and cost.
Material: what it needs to handle
PLA, PLA Matte, PLA Silk Indoor parts, models and gifts. Best value. Softens in a hot car or full sun.
PETG, PCTG Tougher with a bit of flex. Good for functional parts, sheds and garages.
ASA Outdoors and in the sun. Holds up to UV and heat. Good for car and trailer parts.
ABS, ABS-GF Heat resistant and easy to sand or paint.
TPU Flexible and rubbery. Seals, bumpers, grips and feet.
Carbon and glass fibre (CF, GF, PA6, PC) Stiff engineering parts, jigs and fixtures. Higher heat and wear resistance.
Layer height: finish vs speed
Draft 0.28 Quickest and cheapest. Visible lines. Fine for jigs, prototypes and hidden parts.
Standard 0.20 The right choice for most parts.
Fine 0.12 Smoother curves and small detail. Slower, so it costs more.
Multi-colour
Choose Multi-colour, set how many colours (up to 4) and pick each one. Colour 1 is the main body colour.
Tell us which colour goes where in the notes, or send a 3MF with the colours already painted on.
Getting your file right
Check the size shown under the file name. If it looks 25 times too small, switch Model units to Inches.
Keep walls at least 1.2 mm thick.
Holes can print slightly undersize. If something has to fit, tell us the size it needs to be in your notes.
You don't need to orient or add supports. We set that up for the best result.
